34 series - Uu interface conformance tests
Description
The Uu interface is the radio interface between the mobile and the fixed network.
The test specifications are divided into two main groups:
- The signalling protocol specification covers the AS and NAS signalling messages that the mobile exchanges with the radio access network and core network. It's defined in three parts: the specification itself, a template for an ICS in which manufacturers can specify which capabilities have been implemented, and a specification for the base station system simulator.
- The physical layer specifications cover the operation of the physical layer, including RF issues and data transmission and reception.
Other specifications define test conditions that are common to many of the conformance tests (for example, definitions of parameters and radio bearers), and the extra functions that a UE requires for test purposes.
